RailOne App Gains Widespread Popularity with 4.55 Crore Downloads and Average Daily Ticket Bookings of 9.65 Lakh

To improve overall passenger experience, Railways has launched RailOne App on 01.07.2025. The App can be downloaded from Android Play Store and Apple App Store.

RailMadad – Grievance Redressal
- Channels: Helpline 139, Web, App, SMS
- System: Automated complaint assignment & escalation across 30+ train/station categories
- Performance:
- FY 2025–26: 6,94,368 cases assisted
- 89.49% positive feedback
- Resolution rates: 99.98% (2023–24), 99.99% (2024–25), 99.98% (2025–26)

Cybersecurity & Anti-Fraud Measures
1. Aadhaar Authentication for Tatkal tickets (OTP verification on select trains).
2. Application Layer Security: Protection against scripting, brute-force, DDoS, OWASP vulnerabilities.
3. Network & Infrastructure Security: Firewalls, intrusion prevention, CDN, anti-bot tech, ISP-level DDoS mitigation (~30 Gbps).
4. Physical Security: Hosted at ISO 27001-certified data center in New Delhi.
5. Monitoring: Integrated with CERT-In TSAP, continuous log monitoring, audits by CERT-In empanelled agencies.
6. Administrative Controls:
- 6.68 crore accounts deactivated (Jan 2024–Jun 2026)
- 6.22 crore accounts temporarily suspended for revalidation
- 13,343 suspicious email domains blocked (2025–26 & 2026–27 till June)
- 530 cybercrime complaints lodged in 2025–26 & 2026–27 (till June)
7. Systemic Measures: CDN + anti-bot tech mitigating ~64% malicious traffic.

Enforcement
- Tout Arrests: 22,676 arrested (2021–2026).
- Bot Traffic (Jan–Jun 2026): Avg. 57.74% of requests were bots (8.88B out of 15.38B monthly requests).

Ticketing Trends (Jun 2025–Jun 2026)
- Online bookings: 57.90 crore (89%)
- Counter bookings: 7.18 crore (11%)
- Total: 65.08 crore

This rollout of RailOne consolidates all passenger-facing services into one app, while Indian Railways simultaneously strengthens cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and grievance redressal to ensure smoother and safer travel.
