Tourism Allocation - Total: ₹385 crore for the Tourism Department. - ₹269 crore under the revenue account. - ₹116 crore under capital expenditure. - Reflects a strong commitment to tourism-led growth. Visitor Arrivals - 1.08 crore tourists in 2025 (10% increase over previous year). - 20% rise in foreign tourist arrivals, showing Goa’s growing global appeal. Key Initiatives Announced - Inbound Tour Operators’ Incentive Scheme worth ₹2 crore to revive charter flight operations and boost international inflow. - Goa Wellness & Ayurveda Policy 2026 with accreditation framework for wellness centres and practitioners. - Establishment of a new AYUSH Department and wellness camps across Goa. - Hospitality Training Centre at Aguada–Sinquerim under PPP model for skill development. - PPP Policy with ₹3 crore allocation to structure collaborations with private stakeholders. - Completion of 32 GTDC projects this year, with ₹1.04 crore earmarked for beautification. Complementary Development Projects - ₹180 crore for Vasco city redevelopment. - Mopa City project to focus on wellness, trade, and sports infrastructure (with central funding). - State seeking ₹500 crore from the Centre for a Destination Management Scheme to build integrated, sustainable tourism experiences.
