The Regional Office (West & Central), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) will host a four-day Adventure Guide Training Programme and National Seminar in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 17–20 March 2026. Adventure Guide Training Programme (17–19 March) - Supported by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) and Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Board (MPEDB). - Focus: Trekking, mountaineering, and water-based adventure activities. - Key training areas: - Wilderness medical response - Emergency preparedness - Risk management in remote/high-risk environments - Delivered by: - VIVO Healthcare → First Aid, CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS) for wilderness scenarios. - EKO India → Risk mitigation, wildlife awareness, snake rescue, bird identification, and managing human–wildlife interactions. - Outcome: Participants gain skills in trauma assessment, evacuation planning, and safety protocol implementation, enabling them to act as trained first responders. Adventure Tourism Seminar (20 March) Theme: “Adventure Strategy for a New Era” - Half-day seminar with tour operators, adventure clubs, policymakers, and industry experts. - Discussion topics: - Strengthening safety frameworks and risk mitigation - Governance and regulatory models - Alignment with international standards - Leveraging technology & AI in tourism - Policy support, investment, and destination development - Includes a high-level panel discussion bridging private sector and government perspectives. Participation - Around 100 participants expected: ATOAI members, adventure clubs, training institutes, eco-tourism stakeholders, hospitality partners. - Representatives from Ministry of Tourism, MPTB, and MPEDB will also attend.
