With the launch of nonstop flights from Frankfurt to Kuala Lumpur, Lufthansa Airlines is strengthening its network in Southeast Asia and focusing on growth in a dynamic region. Route Launch - Lufthansa is introducing a new nonstop service between Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur starting October 25, 2026. - The route will operate five times per week (daily except Tuesdays and Thursdays). Flight Schedule - LH 704: Departs Frankfurt at 9:30 PM, arrives Kuala Lumpur at 4:40 PM local time the next day. - LH 705: Departs Kuala Lumpur at 11:55 PM, arrives Frankfurt at 6:00 AM the following day. - Timings are designed to connect seamlessly with Lufthansa’s global network. Aircraft & Comfort - Operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Lufthansa’s newest and most efficient aircraft. - Features 287 seats across three classes, including the new Allegris cabin for enhanced comfort. Strategic Importance - Malaysia is highlighted as both a top tourism destination (42.2 million visitors in 2025) and a key business hub. - Germany is Malaysia’s most important EU trading partner, with over 700 German companies based there. - Lufthansa will be the only airline from its home markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy) offering nonstop flights to Malaysia. Regional Expansion - Kuala Lumpur becomes Lufthansa’s third Southeast Asia destination, joining Bangkok, Singapore, and Phuket.
