Occasion: This marks Lufthansa’s 100th founding anniversary. Arrival: The aircraft (registration D-ABYN, christened Niedersachsen) is scheduled to land in Frankfurt on March 5, 2026, around 11 a.m., making it a spectacle for spotters and media. Service Entry: It will enter scheduled service on March 6, flying to Los Angeles. Anniversary Fleet: This Jumbo joins five other aircraft already in the special “100 Years” design — including an Airbus A380, A320neo, A350, and Boeing 787-9. By autumn 2026, an Airbus A350-1000 will complete the seven-aircraft anniversary fleet.
