ITA Airways returns for the fourth consecutive year to ITB Berlin, a leading event for the global tourism industry, scheduled from today to March 5 in Messe Berlin. Concept: “Italian Piazza” – a hospitality space inspired by Italian identity, featuring elements like café tables, stone paving, benches, and an olive tree to evoke conviviality and Mediterranean lifestyle. Location: Inside the Lufthansa Group stand, highlighting ITA’s integration with Lufthansa. Summer 2026 Flight Network - Germany–Italy connectivity: Up to 47 weekly flights linking Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate. - Total destinations: 72 (19 domestic, 36 international, 17 intercontinental). - Seasonal routes: 12 (including Italian, Greek, and Spanish islands). - New routes: - Rome → London Heathrow (2 daily flights) - Rome → Houston (launching May 1, 2026; 3 weekly, increasing to 5 in June) - Rome → Malaga, Valencia, Marseille - Increased flights to Tunis (+7 weekly in summer) Strategic Integration with Lufthansa Group - 63 joint projects to boost revenue and cut costs. - Achievements so far: - Codeshare access to 150+ destinations - Loyalty program collaboration (Volare + Miles & More) - Shared lounges and aligned fare classes - Cargo traffic management agreement - Group deal with Starlink for high-speed onboard connectivity Fleet & Sustainability - Current fleet: 106 Airbus aircraft, 72% next-generation, average age 6.3 years. - Goal: Europe’s youngest fleet by 2030, nearly all next-gen, reducing fuel use and CO₂ emissions.
