FLY91 has officially launched a daily Kochi–Agatti–Kochi service, marking a major step in strengthening mainland access to the Lakshadweep islands. Inaugural Flight: Operated on February 9, 2026, with FLY91’s ATR 72-600 aircraft receiving a ceremonial water cannon salute at Cochin International Airport. Connectivity Boost: The new route connects Kerala’s aviation hub, Kochi, with Agatti, the only airstrip in Lakshadweep, significantly improving access for residents and tourists. Strong Demand: Online bookings opened last month, and the airline reported robust early demand. Expanded Options: This service complements FLY91’s existing Goa–Agatti flights, giving passengers more flexibility in reaching Lakshadweep. Community Impact: The airline emphasized that the daily Kochi link will make essential travel for education, healthcare, and employment easier for island residents. Growth Strategy: FLY91 is also expanding to six new regional stations in the coming months, including Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Dabolim (Goa), Nanded, and Indore. This move is expected to be transformative for Lakshadweep, where limited connectivity has long been a challenge. By linking the islands more closely with Kochi’s extensive domestic and international network, FLY91 is positioning itself as a key player in regional air travel.
