Emirates launches new collection of keepsake amenity kits to highlight endangered species

Emirates Premium Economy and Economy Class customers on long haul flights globally will be treated to a new range of complimentary amenity kits, onboard in December.

- Scope: Available to Premium Economy and Economy Class customers on long-haul flights worldwide.
- Design:
- Pouches made from bio-based materials (including cactus).
- Reusable and collectible, with hand-drawn artwork.
- Each kit includes a story card about the featured endangered species.

Endangered Species Highlighted
Emirates partnered with United for Wildlife to spotlight species at risk, including:
- African grey parrots
- Arabian gazelles & Arabian oryx
- Asian black bears & Bengal tigers
- Blue sharks & manta rays
- Bornean orangutans & western gorillas
- Cape vultures & peregrine falcons
- Fennec foxes, geckos, gibbons, glass frogs
- Green sea turtles, pangolins, painted bats
- Red sand boas, small-clawed otters, straw-headed bulbuls, totoaba

Sustainability & Wellness
- Premium Economy kits: Include Aveda plant-powered skincare products (lip balm, hand cream, hydrating lotion).
- Economy kits: Contain comfort essentials (socks, eyeshades, earplugs, dental kit).
- Materials used:
- Socks & eyeshades → 100% recycled polyester
- Packaging → responsibly sourced paper

Emirates’ Environmental Commitment
- Active member of the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce.
- Zero tolerance for illegal wildlife trade.
- Emirates SkyCargo bans hunting trophies of elephants, rhinos, lions, and tigers.
- Achieved IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) certifications in 2023.
