Bangalore Airport Records Strong Growth in FY 2025–26, Driven by Surge in International Traffic and Cargo Momentum

Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) has reported a strong FY 2025–26 performance, cementing its role as South India’s global gateway.

Passenger Traffic
- Total passengers: 44.47 million (+6.2% YoY)
- International: 7.23 million (+23.9%)
- Domestic: 37.24 million (+3.3%)
- Transfer traffic: +22% YoY, now 15.7% of total passengers
- International transfers grew over 50%, showing long-term hub potential.

Connectivity Expansion
- New international destinations: Hanoi, Riyadh
- Increased frequencies: London Heathrow, Bangkok, Jeddah, Munich, Mauritius, and more
- Domestic additions: Navi Mumbai, Jaisalmer, Bidar, Silchar, Dimapur
- Peak operations: 837 aircraft movements in a single day; record 139,111 passengers handled in one day.

Cargo Momentum
- Cargo handled: 532,000 metric tonnes (+6% YoY)
- Network: 15 cargo airlines, 38 destinations (Chicago, Singapore, Frankfurt, Shenzhen, Hong Kong)
- Perishables leadership: India’s #1 perishable cargo hub for 5th year
- ~60 million rose stems exported (+38% volume, +64% tonnage)
- Mango exports +12%, coriander +13%
- Infrastructure boost: AISATS BLR Logistics Park commissioned, strengthening processing capacity.

- Surpassed 350 million cumulative passengers since opening in 2008.
