Fairfield by Marriott has just marked a major milestone in Greater China with the opening of its 100th hotel, the Fairfield by Marriott Chongqing Nan’an District. This property is located in Chongqing’s Nan’an District—often called China’s “3D Magic City”—and offers 182 rooms along with amenities like a restaurant, meeting spaces, a 24-hour fitness center, and self-service laundry. The design emphasizes Fairfield’s “beauty of simplicity,” blending warm hospitality with localized touches to appeal to both business and leisure travelers. Rapid growth: Fairfield doubled its footprint in Greater China from 50 hotels in 2024 to 100 by 2026. Strategic locations: New properties have opened near major transport hubs and emerging districts in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Xiong’an. Future expansion: The brand plans to debut in destinations such as Zhangjiajie (Hunan) later this year. Guest experience: To celebrate the milestone, hotels are offering thoughtful touches like a Blue Ridge Mountains Scent Card and welcome baskets with local treats. Investor appeal: Fairfield’s flexible design and efficient operations have attracted strong interest from owners, with upgraded designs set to launch this summer. This achievement makes Fairfield the third Marriott brand in Greater China to reach 100 hotels, underscoring its role as a key growth engine for the company.
