Travel in Chennai Metro for ‘IPL 2026’ with exclusive Sponsored Metro Rides
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has announced a special initiative for IPL 2026 spectators: exclusive sponsored metro rides for fans attending the CSK vs MI match on Saturday, 2 May 2026. Sponsored Rides: Valid match tickets (digital or physical) double as metro passes, allowing one round trip (2 entries & 2 exits) between any operational station and Government Estate Metro Station. Extended Services: - Last trains from Government Estate will depart at 01:00 hrs (post-match) towards Wimco Nagar Depot and Airport Metro Station. - Green Line passengers must interchange at Chennai Central during these special services. - Entry into Government Estate Metro Station will close 10 minutes before the last train departure.
