Strategic Priorities for Uzbekistan 1. Global Standards – Aligning with international safety and passenger processing standards to strengthen hub potential. 2. Infrastructure – New airports in Tashkent, Bukhara, and Urgench to support passenger and cargo growth while ensuring cost competitiveness. 3. Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) – Leveraging Gas-to-Liquids expertise while focusing on renewable, low-carbon gases to ensure international acceptance. 4. Investment in People – Upskilling and retaining a growing workforce to support safe and efficient air transport. Why It Matters Uzbekistan’s strategic location in Central Asia positions it as a future east–west transit hub for both passengers and cargo. Continued investment in aviation infrastructure, sustainability, and workforce development will not only strengthen the aviation sector but also spill over into tourism, trade, and foreign direct investment.
