Highlights of the Museum - Dedication: Honors the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father. - Collections: Over 1,500 objects showcased across six permanent galleries, including archaeological artifacts, historic objects, audiovisual experiences, and contemporary installations. - Visitor Journey: Begins at the 600-meter Al Masar Garden outdoor gallery, then moves through galleries on Sheikh Zayed’s life, UAE’s natural landscapes, and human habitation spanning 300,000 years. - Design: Created by Lord Norman Foster (Foster + Partners), blending modern architecture with cultural storytelling. - Cultural Bridge: Connects the seven emirates, emphasizing shared history and identity. Opening Programme: Deep Roots and Everlasting Legacy - Runs until December 31, 2025. - Features traditional Razfa and Naashat dances, poetry performances, Taghrooda music, Nahma seafaring chants, and the Nadba mountain call. - Hands-on workshops in traditional crafts and arts. - Immersive Gahwa (coffee) experiences designed with Bait Al Gahwa. - Tours and cultural activities (advance booking required).
