The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) for Lucknow Metro on 21st July 2026 under the Government of India's One Nation One Card initiative. The service was inaugurated by Managing Director, UPMRC, Shri Sushil Kumar.
Launch Details
- Introduced on 21 July 2026 by UPMRC Managing Director Shri Sushil Kumar.
- Lucknow joins Kanpur and Agra Metro in adopting the One Nation One Card initiative.
- NCMC allows seamless travel across metros, buses, parking, and retail services nationwide where the system is enabled.
For Existing Go Smart Card Holders
- Current cards remain valid for Lucknow Metro.
- Balances can still be used.
- A Card Exchange Window will open at stations, allowing free exchange to NCMC within 30 days.
Availability
- Issued at Airtel Payments Bank kiosks in all Lucknow Metro stations.
- Instant issuance via OTP mobile verification, no KYC required.
- Also available through 23 participating banks.
- Issuance fee: ₹100; recharge range: ₹100–₹2,000.
