ITB Berlin 2027: Focus on forward-looking venue planning

As part of the long-term modernisation of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, ITB Berlin (16 – 18 March 2027) is adapting its hall layout, thereby creating ideal conditions for the future of the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. These changes are being implemented in parallel with the construction of dock9, the new multi-purpose convention and event venue, on the site of the former Hall 9.

ITB Berlin 2027 – Venue Modernisation
Dates: 16–18 March 2027
Focus: Forward-looking hall layout and venue planning

Key Changes
- dock9 construction: A new multi-purpose convention and event venue replacing Hall 9 (demolition begins October 2026).
- CityCube Berlin integration:
- Hosts exhibitors from Halls 7.1c, 8.1, 9, and 10.1.
- Used as an exhibition hall for the first time.
- Offers modern infrastructure, flexible space, and seamless visitor flow.

Objectives
- Theme-oriented clusters: Group exhibitors by related products/services for clarity.
- Shorter distances: Easier navigation for trade visitors.
- Enhanced experience: Stronger thematic focus and improved dialogue within tourism segments.

Official Statements
- Deborah Rothe, Director ITB Berlin: The adapted layout aligns ITB Berlin more closely with exhibitor and visitor needs, making thematic focal points more visible.
- Ramona Zaun, Head of Sales & Administration: Close coordination with exhibitors ensures suitable reallocation solutions, supported by updated maps, signage, ITB app notifications, and digital communications.

CityCube Berlin Advantages
- Own entrances (East & West)
- Separate taxi drop-off
- Short walk from Messe Süd S-Bahn station
- Ideal for larger, technically advanced stands

This restructuring is not a full overhaul but a targeted adaptation, ensuring ITB Berlin remains the world’s leading travel trade show while modernising its exhibition grounds.
