7600 Crore four-laning key stretches of NH-63 and NH-563 Strengthens Telangana’s Tourism and Pilgrimage

Northern Telangana is about to see a major boost in its transport infrastructure with the Cabinet’s approval for four-laning key stretches of NH-63 and NH-563. These projects, spanning 190.76 km and costing ₹7,597.16 crore, are designed to ease congestion, improve connectivity, and unlock new opportunities for growth across the region.

Project Highlights
- NH-63 (Armoor–Jagtial–Mancherial): To be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
- NH-563 (Jagtial–Karimnagar): To be developed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (Toll) basis.
- Travel time savings: Armoor–Mancherial reduced by ~1.5 hours; Jagtial–Karimnagar shortened by ~45 minutes.

Strengthening Tourism & Pilgrimage
- Improved access to major religious and heritage sites: Vemulawada Temple, Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Kaleshwaram Temple, Nagunur Fort.
- Faster, safer journeys encourage multi-destination pilgrimage circuits, boosting local hospitality, transport, and artisan businesses.

Supporting Agriculture & Industry
- Better connectivity to fisheries, food processing clusters, SEZs in Siddipet & Warangal, and Mega Food Parks in Nizamabad & Siddipet.
- Farmers gain quicker access to mandis, warehouses, and processing centres.
- Reduced logistics costs and fuel consumption improve efficiency for agribusiness and seafood exports.

Strategic Transport Network
- Strengthens links with NH-44 (India’s longest north-south corridor), NH-363, and NH-163G.
- Enhances regional freight routes like Nagpur–Hyderabad and Nagpur–Vijayawada.
- Aligns with PM Gati Shakti, integrating economic and logistics hubs into a unified supply chain.

This upgrade is more than just road widening — it’s about building a corridor of prosperity that connects temples, towns, farms, and factories, while reducing travel bottlenecks in fast-growing urban centres like Jagtial, Karimnagar, and Mancherial.
