Hyatt has officially announced Alila Sengokuhara Hakone, a luxury retreat opening in 2028 that will mark the Alila brand’s debut in Japan. Retreat Concept - Location: Sengokuhara, Hakone – within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, famed for hot springs, pampas grass fields, volcanic terrain, and panoramic views. - Design: Minimalist architecture by Kengo Kuma and Associates, blending seamlessly with the mountain landscape, using natural light and materials to create harmony with the environment. - Rooms: 60 guestrooms, including 11 suites, each with a private natural hot spring bath.
