Malaysia Airlines to Resume Limited Daily Flights to Doha from 2 July 2026

Malaysia Airlines has announced that it will resume limited daily flights to Doha starting 2 July 2026. The service comes after Qatar reopened its airspace to international carriers and operations gradually restarted at Hamad International Airport.

Resumption date:
2 July 2026

Initial service:
One daily flight (MH160/161)

Other routes:
MH164/165 and MH168/169 remain suspended until 24 October 2026, pending review

Reason for suspension:
Flights were halted on 28 February 2026 due to regional airspace closures

Pilgrimage operations:
Amal by Malaysia Airlines continues Hajj flights to Jeddah and Madinah, with 110 flights planned to transport 15,620 pilgrims

Safety focus:
The airline emphasizes ongoing risk assessments and monitoring of NOTAMs to ensure passenger and crew safety

This move signals a cautious but important step in reconnecting Malaysia Airlines with Doha, while still keeping a close watch on regional developments.
