Virgin Atlantic has teamed up with Strava to launch the Virgin Atlantic Passport Challenge, a fitness-meets-travel rewards program designed to turn logged miles into premium travel experiences. Challenge Details - Dates: May 6 – June 3 - Locations: Open to Strava users in New York City and Los Angeles - Reward: Chance to win 1 million Virgin Points (enough for a round trip in Upper Class from the US to London or Manchester). Mechanics: - Complete 20 miles → 5 points - +1 point for every 5 extra miles - +1 point per curated Strava segment (max 30/day) - +5 bonus points for completing 2 segments in one day - +10 bonus points for completing all 4 segments Special Event - In-person run in NYC: May 28, starting at Virgin Hotels New York. - Led by Laura Watts, Virgin Atlantic Flight Service Manager and ultra-marathoner. - Runners will pass iconic landmarks, enjoy water stations, prizes, and a recovery lounge hosted by Exhale Spa. Travel & Wellness Connection - Virgin Atlantic is emphasizing wellbeing in travel: - Wellness-focused Clubhouses at LAX and London Heathrow (meditation pods, spa treatments, healthy dining). - Onboard Upper Class: lie-flat seats, social spaces, curated food and beverage menus. - The initiative bridges fitness, wellness, and travel rewards, encouraging participants to stay active while earning premium experiences.
