Sanjay Jamuar appointed the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL)

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the appointment of Sh. Sanjay Jamuar as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL).

DMIL’s mandate:
- Handle metro projects and O&M (Operation & Maintenance) assignments outside Delhi and abroad.
- Provide advisory services to authorities and lenders for developing and improving metro and transit systems.
- Leverage DMRC’s expertise, which has already supported metro development in multiple Indian cities.

About Sanjay Jamuar:
- Former IRTS officer with extensive experience across Indian Railways, DMRC, and internationally (UK, USA, France, Middle East, Europe).
- Holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership from Warwick Business School, UK.
- Conducted research in Transport Economics at Leeds University.
- Joined DMRC in 1998 as its first O&M employee, making this appointment a “homecoming.”

DMRC’s global footprint:
- Consultant for the Dhaka Metro project in Bangladesh.
- O&M contracts for Chennai, Mumbai, and Patna Metro projects.
- Construction work for metro projects in Mumbai, Jaipur, and Patna.
- DMIL is expected to further expand DMRC’s reach internationally.

This appointment signals DMRC’s intent to position DMIL as a global player in metro consultancy and operations, building on decades of expertise.
