AmaWaterways has unveiled a new cultural program called “Cooking with Mamie”, designed to give guests a deeper, more personal connection to French traditions during their river cruises. Key Highlights - Exclusive to AmaDante and AmaLyra on the Paris & Normandy itinerary. - Developed in partnership with Atelier des Mamies, bringing authentic French grandmothers into the experience. - Onboard sessions in Paris: small groups (up to 10 guests) prepare classic desserts like tarte Tatin and madeleines, while hearing stories and techniques passed down through generations. - Optional land program in Montmartre: “Le Macaron: A Parisian Patisserie Experience,” where guests learn to craft macarons in a cozy workshop setting. - Part of AmaWaterways’ broader focus on immersive, locally rooted experiences, blending culinary traditions with cultural storytelling.
