Travel Advisory: AirAsia flights check-in in Hong Kong to be relocated to Terminal 2

AirAsia will relocate its check-in services for international flights departing from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Terminal 2 (T2) from Terminal 1 (T1), effective 28 May 2026.

What’s Changing
- Effective Date: From 28 May 2026
- Check‑in Location: Now at Terminal 2 (T2), Row V, International Departure
- Other Operations: Boarding and baggage claim remain at Terminal 1 (T1)

Passenger Flow
1. Arrive at T2 for check‑in and baggage drop.
2. After completing check‑in, walk back to T1 (about 5 minutes) for boarding.
3. Follow signage for directions between terminals.

Notifications
- Guests will be informed via registered contact details.
- AirAsia members will receive push notifications through the AirAsia MOVE app.

Travel Tips
- Arrive at least 3 hours before departure.
- Self check‑in online (via website or MOVE app) available from 14 days up to 1 hour before departure.
- Check‑in counters close 1 hour before flight time.
- Use e‑boarding passes for faster processing.

Baggage Rules
- Cabin allowance: 1 piece (max 56 × 36 × 23 cm) + 1 laptop/handbag/small bag.
- Combined weight limit: 7 kg for both pieces.
