Radisson Hotel Group has just crossed a major milestone in Africa: more than 100 hotels now in operation or under development across the continent. The expansion is being driven by Radisson Blu’s established presence and Radisson’s rapid growth through conversions and new signings. Over the past year alone, the group added 15 new hotels and about 2,500 rooms, entering new markets like the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zimbabwe. Priority markets: Morocco, South Africa, and Nigeria, where Radisson is deepening its footprint. Nigeria: 13 hotels in operation/pipeline, with Abuja hosting three new projects totaling 458 rooms. South Africa: Expansion in Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, and leisure corridors like Kruger National Park and Sun City. New destinations: Plans to enter Zanzibar and explore safari/lodge opportunities in Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. Conversions: Over 15 hotels (nearly 3,000 rooms) joined the portfolio in the last five years, accelerating growth.
