Stevia:
Stevia is a natural sweetener used as a substitute to sugar for hundreds of years. Derived from stevia rebaudiana plant, a shrub native to south america it has zero calories and carbohydrates. The leaves contain steviol glycosides, which are responsible for its sweet taste.

Coconut palm sugar:
It is considered a healthy alternative to refined white sugar. It is known for its versatility in baking and low glycemic index. It has a slight presence of Zinc and iron. Even though it is safe to use for diabetic patients its use must still be regulated.

Maple syrup is a sweet syrup made from the sap of maple trees. In cold climates, these trees store starch in their trunks and roots before winter. It may be a healthier alternative to refined sugar as it contains minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.
