MGallery Collection has announced the signing of V Villas Maldives at Mirihi, marking the brand’s debut in the Maldives and a significant expansion of Accor’s luxury portfolio. Opening Timeline: Scheduled to open in early 2026 after extensive renovation and expansion of the former Mirihi Island Resort. Design & Architecture: Created by award-winning Studio Gronda, the resort will feature 42 villas—a mix of beach villas, overwater villas, and multi-bedroom suites with private pools. Concept: Rooted in Maldivian heritage and inspired by the delicate Mirihi flower, the property embraces “quiet luxury” with a focus on simplicity, serenity, and soulful experiences. Experiences: - Signature spa and wellness sanctuary - Indoor/outdoor gym and yoga pavilion - Overwater restaurant and new bar concept - Diving and snorkeling excursions with manta rays and whale sharks Ownership: Developed by VIE Maldives Pvt Ltd, part of Thailand’s Major Cineplex Group, which also owns flagship MGallery properties in Bangkok, Hua Hin, and Phuket. Sustainability: Part of Accor’s ESG pilot program, embedding eco-conscious design and operations into the guest journey.
