Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, announced the signing of a SeleQtions hotel in Athirapilly, Kerala. This is a conversion and expansion project.

Conversion and expansion in partnership with the Kshema Group.

100 keys, developed in two phases (37 existing operational rooms + expansion).

- Banquet venues & meeting rooms
- Swimming pool, fitness centre, spa with multiple treatment rooms
Location:
On the banks of the Chalakudy River, right next to the famous Athirapilly Falls (largest waterfall in Kerala).
Connectivity:
Close to Cochin International Airport, part of leisure itineraries linking Kochi and Munnar.
Strategic importance:
Strengthens IHCL’s footprint in Kerala, bringing its total to 25 hotels in the state (7 under development).
Vision:
Both IHCL and Kshema Group emphasize creating distinctive, locally connected hospitality destinations that enhance Kerala’s tourism potential.
This is a significant move because Athirapilly is already a sought-after eco-tourism spot, and a luxury SeleQtions property could elevate its profile further.
