Qatar Airways Resumes Flights to Qassim, Taif, Tabuk, and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia
Qatar Airways is making a strong push in Saudi Arabia this winter by resuming flights to four key destinations — Qassim, Taif, Yanbu, and Tabuk — after several years of suspension.
Route Resumptions
- Qassim (ELQ) → Starts 25 Oct 2026, twice weekly (Sunday & Friday).
- Taif (TIF) → Starts 31 Oct 2026, twice weekly (Wednesday & Saturday).
- Yanbu (YNB) → Starts 2 Jan 2027, twice weekly (Wednesday & Saturday).
- Tabuk (TUU) → Starts 3 Jan 2027, twice weekly (Thursday & Sunday).
Flight Schedule Highlights
- Qassim: Morning departures from Doha around 08:15–09:05, return midday.
- Taif: Early morning departures, return late morning.
- Yanbu: Morning departures, return midday.
- Tabuk: Morning departures, return midday.
Bigger Picture
- Qatar Airways will operate over 155 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia this winter, a 10% increase compared to summer.
- In the past year, more than 2.3 million passengers traveled between Saudi Arabia and Qatar Airways’ global network.
- Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam routes are already served by Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft, offering complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.
Expanded Saudi Network
With these resumptions, Qatar Airways’ Saudi destinations include: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, Abha, AlUla, Hail, NEOM (resuming in late 2027), The Red Sea, plus the four new/returning cities — Qassim, Taif, Yanbu, and Tabuk.
This expansion underscores Qatar Airways’ long-term commitment to the Saudi market, enhancing regional connectivity and giving passengers more seamless access to its 160+ global destinations via Doha’s Hamad International Airport.
