SWISS is making economy travel a little more personalized with its new Pre-Select meal service.
What’s New
- SWISS Economy passengers on long-haul flights from Switzerland can now pre-select their main course before departure.
- Choices include a meat dish or a vegetarian option from Hiltl, Switzerland’s famous vegetarian restaurant.
- Pre-selection is available between six weeks and 24 hours before departure via swiss.com/menu or the SWISS app.
- Passengers who pre-order are guaranteed their chosen dish onboard.
Expansion of Pre-Select
- Already available in SWISS First and Business since 2022, and in Premium Economy since Dec 2025.
- Popular dish: Zürcher Geschnetzelte — chosen nearly 42,000 times so far.
- On short-haul flights, Business passengers can pre-select from up to eight meals daily, while Economy passengers can pre-order from the SWISS Saveurs menu with a 10% discount.
Why It Matters
- SWISS now offers one of the most comprehensive pre-selection programs worldwide, spanning all travel classes.
- It enhances the culinary journey experience, reduces uncertainty, and ensures passengers enjoy the meal they prefer.
This move reflects a broader trend in aviation: airlines are increasingly focusing on personalization and guaranteed service delivery to improve passenger satisfaction.
