Starting Aug 27, 2026, travelers in the U.S. can now book hotels directly within AI Mode in Google Search — powered by Expedia and Hotels.com.
What’s New
- Previously: AI Mode only compared hotel options, then redirected you to third-party sites.
- Now: You can complete the booking inside AI Mode itself, with instant confirmation.
How It Works
1. Ask naturally: e.g., “Find me a hotel in Seattle next weekend under $250 a night.”
2. Browse options: AI Mode shows real-time pricing, reviews, and cancellation policies.
3. Choose Expedia or Hotels.com: Click “Continue on Google” next to your preferred provider.
4. Book instantly: Select room type and pay via Google Pay → immediate confirmation email from Expedia/Hotels.com.
