Ashish Chatterjee appointed as the new Principal Secretary/Managing Director of Chennai Metro

The Tamil Nadu government has appointed Ashish Chatterjee, IAS as the new Principal Secretary/Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL).

- A Government Order was issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar confirming the appointment.
- Mr. Chatterjee, who was on Central deputation, will take charge upon his return.
- He replaces M. A. Siddique, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), who was holding additional charge as MD of CMRL.

This marks a significant leadership change for Chennai Metro Rail, which is currently expanding its network and operations across the city.
