Air India new Mumbai-Toronto winter service begins on 25 October 2026; Delhi–Toronto upgraded to brand-new B787-9

Air India deployed its brand-new B787-9 aircraft on Delhi-Toronto flights, bringing the airline's all-new cabin product and onboard experience to Canada for the first time and significantly elevating passenger experience.

New Mumbai–Toronto Route
- Launching 25 October 2026 – 26 March 2027
- Operated 3x weekly with upgraded Boeing 777-300ER aircraft
- Features: 8 First Class suites with privacy doors, 40 Business Class flatbeds, 280 Economy seats
- Onboard WiFi available
- Air India will be the only carrier offering direct flights between Mumbai and Toronto this winter

Delhi–Toronto Enhancements
- Air India has deployed its brand-new Boeing 787-9 on most Delhi–Toronto flights
- Out of 10 weekly services, 7 are already operated by the B787-9, with the remaining 3 transitioning by January 2027
- This ensures 100% new or upgraded cabin interiors on all Toronto flights from early 2027

Capacity Boosts
- Overall capacity between India and Canada increases by 4,400 seats per month
- Premium seat capacity to Toronto rises by 71%
- Total of 20 weekly flights between India and Canada this winter:
- 10x Delhi–Toronto
- 3x Mumbai–Toronto
- 7x Delhi–Vancouver

Through hubs in Delhi and Mumbai, passengers can connect to major Indian cities like Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and more.

He highlighted the airline’s intent to deliver a world-class premium experience and strengthen its role as a preferred gateway between India and the world.
