Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort announces a new collaboration with rrreefs to introduce an innovative 3D-printed clay reef installation within the resort’s surrounding lagoon – a meaningful step in the resort’s continued commitment to marine conservation and regenerative travel experiences in the Maldives.

- Installation of 13 flower-shaped clay reef structures named Theyra Maa (“13 Flowers” in Dhivehi).
- Symbolises renewal, growth, and flourishing marine life.
- Located in the resort’s lagoon within South Malé Atoll.

Design & Innovation
- Crafted from fired terracotta clay, reinforced with steel and minimal concrete.
- Flower-inspired forms encourage gentle water movement, aiding coral larvae settlement.
- Porous microstructure provides sheltered spaces for coral larvae and reef fish.
- Supports biofilm formation, enhancing coral settlement and ecosystem balance.
