Noida International Airport has officially begun commercial operations today, marking a major milestone for India’s aviation sector.

First Flights
- IndiGo operated the inaugural services:
- First arrival from Lucknow
- First departure to Bengaluru

Connectivity
- Initially serving domestic routes, with international flights planned in the coming months.
- Multiple onward travel options: taxis, app-based cabs, and dedicated bus routes linking Delhi NCR and major North Indian cities.

Cargo Hub
- Air India SATS (AISATS) developed cargo facilities with a starting capacity of 200,000 metric tons annually, scalable to 1.5 million tonnes.
- Features E-Freight digital solutions for paperless cargo movement and live tracking.

Design & Experience
- Architecture inspired by Uttar Pradesh heritage: ghats of Varanasi, haveli-style lattice screens.
- DigiYatra-enabled travel, self-service check-in, bag-drop, and curated art installations.
- Designed to serve 12 million passengers annually in Phase 1, with expansion plans to reach 70 million passengers.

Sustainability & Operations
- Operated by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG.
- Strong focus on net zero emissions, digital innovation, and customer experience.

This opening positions Noida International Airport as a new gateway to Delhi NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh, boosting tourism, trade, and regional connectivity.
