Qatar Airways is making a significant push to strengthen its African operations starting this summer: Flight resumptions (from 16 June 2026): - Seychelles (SEZ): 4 weekly flights - Kigali (KGL): 2 weekly flights - Marrakesh (RAK): Daily service (from 1 July) Frequency increases: - Alexandria (HBE): 3 → up to 7 weekly - Cairo (CAI): 28 → up to 35 weekly - Cape Town (CPT): 7 → up to 10 weekly - Dar es Salaam (DAR): 3 → up to 7 weekly - Lusaka (LUN)–Harare (HRE): 5 → up to 7 weekly - Maputo (MPM)–Durban (DUR): 4 → up to 7 weekly New route launch: - Port Sudan (PZU): 3 weekly flights starting 2 July 2026 - Departures from Doha every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday - QR1319 DOH → PZU: 09:00–11:00 - QR1320 PZU → DOH: 12:25–16:20 With these additions, Qatar Airways is rebuilding its global network to over 160 destinations, reinforcing its role as a major connector through Doha’s Hamad International Airport. The expansion also supports trade and travel demand while balancing sustainability and growth.
