Virgin Atlantic is moving quickly to bring Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet across its fleet. Rollout timeline - Airbus A350 aircraft will be the first to get Starlink, starting in May 2026, with all A350s connected by early summer. - Boeing 787 installations will begin in the second half of 2026. - Airbus A330neo aircraft will follow, with full fleet coverage expected by 2027. Customer experience - Starlink will deliver free, fast, low-latency Wi-Fi from take-off to landing. - Flying Club members will enjoy unlimited access, able to stream shows, play online games, shop, work, watch live sports, and even make short audio calls. - Multiple devices can be connected simultaneously, creating a “home away from home” digital experience. Strategic significance - Virgin Atlantic was the first UK airline to commit to free, fleet-wide Starlink Wi-Fi. - This rollout sets a new standard for in-flight connectivity, aiming to make the cabin feel as connected as life on the ground. Juha Jaervinen, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Customer Officer, emphasized that by 2027 the airline plans to deliver 100% Starlink connectivity across its fleet, redefining what passengers can expect in the skies.
