Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has introduced Google’s Find Hub share item location feature to support the recovery of lost or delayed baggage, offering guests an additional, optional way to assist the airline’s teams during the baggage tracking process. New Feature: Saudia introduces Google’s Find Hub “share item location” capability to support recovery of lost or delayed baggage. How It Works: Guests with compatible tracker tags or Bluetooth accessories can generate a secure, temporary link and attach it to their baggage claim record. Efficiency: Ground teams gain time-limited access (expires after 7 days) to location data, helping them identify and recover bags faster. Control: Guests can stop sharing at any time, ensuring privacy and autonomy. Privacy & Guest Experience - Location data is shared only with Saudia, used exclusively for baggage recovery, and expires automatically. - Designed to complement existing processes, not replace them, giving passengers more visibility and reassurance. - Rossen Dimitrov, Chief Guest Experience Officer, emphasized the focus on trust, transparency, and peace of mind. Strategic Positioning - Saudia is among the first airlines globally to adopt this capability. - Part of its digital transformation strategy, aimed at delivering smarter, more connected guest experiences. - Reinforces Saudia’s reputation for innovation and guest-centered service. This positions Saudia as a pioneer in integrating consumer tech with airline operations, bridging the gap between personal tracking devices and airline recovery systems.
