Qantas opened applications for 2026 Regional Grants Program
Qantas has officially opened applications for its 2026 Regional Grants Program, offering $2 million in funding to not-for-profit community groups across regional Australia. Program purpose: Strengthen regional communities by supporting projects that deliver essential services, expand opportunities, and improve wellbeing. Impact so far: Since its launch, Qantas has awarded $7 million in grants, flights, and marketing support to nearly 130 groups and projects. Examples from 2025: - MHA Care Moira Foodshare (Victoria) – Refrigerated van for safe food transport to vulnerable communities. - STEM Changemakers (Queensland) – Free program inspiring girls to pursue STEM careers. - Tweed District Rescue Squad (NSW) – Portable radios for emergency volunteers. - Remote Op Shop (Northern Territory) – Mobile op shop truck supporting remote First Nations communities. - Sam’s Spares Incorporated (WA) – 100 refurbished laptops for regional students in need. This program is now in its fourth year, continuing Qantas’ commitment to regional Australia by backing initiatives in food security, education, community safety, and environmental sustainability.
