Wizz Air strengthens its commitment to the Spanish market with the launch of two new international routes connecting Spain with Albania and Hungary, further expanding affordable and direct travel options from Santander and Menorca to Europe. Santander → Tirana (Albania) - Starts: March 29, 2026 - Frequency: Twice weekly (Thursdays & Sundays) - Fares: From €29.99 Menorca → Budapest (Hungary) - Starts: June 9, 2026 - Frequency: Three times weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays) - Fares: From €35.99 Expansion Highlights - These routes strengthen Wizz Air’s Spanish network, connecting northern Spain and the Balearic Islands to Central and Eastern Europe. - The Menorca–Budapest route is enabled by the 19th aircraft added to Wizz Air’s Budapest base. - Wizz Air will also increase frequencies: - Barcelona ↔ Budapest → 16 flights per week - Málaga ↔ Budapest → up to 7 flights per week - In 2025, Wizz Air operated 44,000+ flights in Spain, carrying nearly 10 million passengers with a 99.85% completion rate.
