Following a successful South Asian debut in 2025, STIR brings the celebrated Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) back to Mumbai, returning to the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), from January 9 – 11, 2026. Background: Launched in 2009 by Kyle Bergman in Vermont, the Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) is the world’s largest film festival dedicated to architecture and design. After its South Asian debut in 2025, it now returns to Mumbai with greater scale and ambition. Four Dynamic Pillars: - Films – Documentaries, docu-fiction, speculative futures, and 3D screenings (including Wim Wenders’ Anselm and Pina). - Pavilion Park – Curated by Aric Chen (Zaha Hadid Foundation), featuring 10 winning architectural installations under the theme Mumbai Transcripts. - ~log(ue) Programme – Talks, debates, performances, and workshops supported by JSW, with patrons Sangita Jindal and Tarini Jindal Handa. - Special Projects – Includes Diaspora Passage 0100A, a commissioned installation by British-Caribbean designer Samuel Ross MBE.
