Ministry of Tourism Committed Towards Swachhta and Reducing Pendency During Special Campaign 5.0

The Ministry of Tourism is actively participating in the Special Campaign 5.0, launched by the Government of India to promote Swachhta (cleanliness) and reduce pendency across departments. The campaign is structured in two phases:

- Preparatory Phase: 15–30 September 2025
- Implementation Phase: 2–31 October 2025

Key focus areas include:
- Identifying cleanliness sites and beautification zones
- Disposal of scrap, e-waste, and redundant items
- Timely resolution of references from MPs, state governments, and the PMO
- Addressing public grievances and appeals
- Simplifying procedures and improving record management

Building on the success of Special Campaign 4.0, the Ministry previously:
- Freed 19,680 sq. ft. of space
- Generated ₹14.04 lakh from scrap disposal
- Weeded out 6,826 physical files and closed 1,915 e-files
- Conducted 447 Swachhta campaigns nationwide

The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to efficiency, transparency, and improved service delivery during Special Campaign 5.0.
