Air India Express has officially joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA)

Air India Express has officially joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA), marking a major milestone in its global expansion strategy.

Global Recognition & Standards
By becoming an IATA member, Air India Express aligns itself with over 350 airlines across 120+ countries, representing more than 80% of global air traffic. This move reinforces its commitment to world-class safety, operational excellence, and customer experience.

Safety First
The airline has been on the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registry since 2017, which requires compliance with over 900 safety standards—a prerequisite for membership.

Business Expansion
Membership enables Air India Express to participate in IATA’s Billing and Settlement Plans (BSP), allowing broader distribution through accredited travel agents and enhancing its international reach.

Fleet & Network Growth
With a fleet of 115 aircraft and over 500 daily flights, the airline connects 41 domestic and 17 international destinations, including key markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.

Leadership Insight
Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, called it a “proud moment,” emphasizing that the membership will help assure guests of reliability, safety, and convenience while opening doors to global partnerships.

This move positions Air India Express as a serious player on the global aviation stage.
