The Kerala Responsible Tourism (RT) Mission has launched a progressive initiative to empower women in tourism by offering financial assistance to registered women-led units across the state. Here's a breakdown of the scheme: 1. Fresh Up Homes - About 50 units will receive ₹25,000 each (in two installments) to set up Fresh Up Homes. - These homes will be integrated into village tour packages and connected to existing homestays, farm stays, and ethnic cuisine ventures. 2. Women RT Clubs - Formed under Kerala’s women-friendly tourism project, these clubs can apply for up to ₹2 lakh each for special enterprise projects. 3. Entrepreneurship Development - Financial aid of ₹50,000 is available for setting up souvenir shops, handicrafts outlets, and ethnic food restaurants. 4. One-Time Aid - ₹10,000 will be granted to 10 women units per district to support their tourism ventures. Eligible Locations Projects will be implemented in areas such as: - Two each will be implemented in Kanthalloor, Marayoor, Vattavada, Maravanthuruthu, Chembu, Koodaranji, Kadalundi, Thrithala, Pattithara, Pinarayi, Ancharakkandi, Chekadi, Perumbalam, Valiyaparamba, Aymanam (Manjira), Munrothuruthu and Aranmula. - One each of the project will be coming up in Kannur Chal Beach, Muhamma, Thalayazham, Vechoor, Punnayoorkkulam, Anchuthengu, Amboori, Thanneermukkam, Thiruvilwamala, and Thirunelli.
