IndiGo Signs for Rolls-Royce Engine to Power its Upcoming Airbus A350 Fleet

IndiGo has signed a major agreement with Rolls-Royce to equip its upcoming fleet of Airbus A350-900 aircraft with the advanced Trent XWB-84 engines, marking a significant step in its long-haul expansion strategy.

Engine Partnership Highlights:
- Trent XWB-84 Engines:
These engines deliver 84,000 pounds of thrust and are known for industry-leading fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and high reliability—ideal for long-haul operations.

- TotalCare Agreement:
IndiGo will also benefit from Rolls-Royce’s TotalCare program, which includes round-the-clock engine health monitoring, proactive maintenance, and optimized performance throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

- Fleet Expansion:
IndiGo has doubled its A350-900 order from 30 to 60 aircraft, all of which will be powered by these Rolls-Royce engines.
