India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025 officially kicks off today, October 27, at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai. This five-day global event, running through October 31, is being hailed as the world’s largest maritime gathering. Key Highlights of IMW 2025 - Inauguration: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is inaugurating the event, joined by key dignitaries including Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Goa CM Pramod Sawant, and Union Minister of Ports Sarbananda Sonowal. - Theme: “Uniting Oceans, One Maritime Vision” — emphasizing India’s ambition to become a global maritime hub and leader in the Blue Economy. - Global Participation: Ministers and delegations from 11 countries and over 100 nations represented by industry leaders, innovators, and investors. - Massive Scale: - 500+ exhibitors - 25+ thematic sessions - Investment opportunities worth over USD 82 billion - ₹10 lakh crore maritime investment pipeline. - Focus Areas: Sustainable maritime growth, trade expansion, port infrastructure, logistics, cruise tourism, and maritime technology.
