These 10 items you can’t carry in your cabin bag at Indian Airports

Before you zip up that cabin bag, make sure you're not packing any of these restricted items. Security checks at Indian airports are strict, and these could get you flagged or delayed:

Sharp Objects
- Includes knives, scissors, razor blades, and even nail cutters.

Liquids Over 100ml
- Water bottles, shampoos, sauces, perfumes—anything over 100ml is a no-go.

Lighters & Matchboxes
- Treated as fire hazards, these are banned from cabin bags.

Large Power Banks
- Only power banks under 160Wh are allowed in hand luggage.

Tools & Equipment
- Hammers, screwdrivers, pliers—even small ones—are considered potential weapons.

Sporting Gear
- Cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, and similar items are not permitted.

Self-Defense Items
- Pepper spray, stun guns, and martial arts gear must stay out of your carry-on.

Flammable Substances
- Paints, fuels, lighter fluid, and fireworks are strictly banned.

Explosives or Replicas
- Real or fake grenades, dynamite, and similar items are prohibited.

Illegal or Restricted Items
- Narcotics, counterfeit currency, and banned weapons are forbidden by law.

Quick Tip:
Always pack sharp or bulky items in your checked baggage. For liquids, stick to travel-sized containers and place them in a transparent zip-lock pouch.
