Dr. Mihee Kang’s Contribution - Presentation: “Navigating Sustainability: GSTC Standards for Tourism Quality and Competitiveness” - Explained how GSTC Standards (formerly GSTC Criteria) serve as a globally recognized framework for sustainable tourism. - Highlighted their role in: - Strengthening destination management. - Elevating service quality. - Safeguarding natural and cultural assets. - Supporting long-term competitiveness. Key Message: > “Sustainability needs to be woven into policy, planning, and operations if we want tourism to create long-term value for destinations, communities, and the environment.” Panel Participation: Joined the high-level discussion “Championing Positive Transformation: Advancing Regional Leadership in Sustainable Tourism”, alongside government and cultural institution representatives.
