LOKTAK LAKE

The largest freshwater lake in northeast India. A scenic and mystical lake which resembles a miniature inland sea. This iconic lake is famed for its unique floating swamps, known as Phumdis, and the world’s only floating National park, the Keibul Lamjao. KHONGHAMPAT ORCHIDARIUM

SHIRUI HILLS

DZUKO VALLEY

BUNNING MEADOW

ZEILAD LAKE

Unwind yourself in the serene surrounding of nature. Situated on a hill, it is a sight to behold. This is one of the lesser-known escapades in the state. Amongst the wildlife sanctuaries of Manipur lies the Zeliad lake, known for being home to a variety of fishes, birds, and pythons.

BARAK WATERFALLS

Sit, calm yourself and spend some time at this picturesque place. Located in the forest of the Tamenglong district, the waterfall offers opportunities for some breathtaking photography. YANGKHULLEN

Explore the unexplored. Yanglhullen village is home to the primitive Zeme tribe. This hamlet is built on a rocky slope where the whole village and its people live together like one big family, where customs and traditions are passed on from one generation to another. A must-visit if you wish to dig deep into Indian history. The village attracts research scholars and historians from all across.

KHOUPUM VALLEY

This second-largest valley in Manipur is inhabited by the Rongmei tribe. One can have a sight of giant earthen dams, rivers, the Khukdai cave, and a delightful natural waterfall which is now a famous picnic spot. This valley is truly a sight to behold.

SADU CHIRU WATERFALL

A picturesque waterfall from a height of 300 meters (approx). The path to Sada Chiru waterfalls is across fields, streams, forests and ultimately a climb up stone steps for a spectacular view of the lush green valley. It is an enjoyable trekking experience for hikers.

PHANGREI

One of the best hill stations in Manipur, a day spent at Phangrei peak leaves a lasting memory because of its pristine beauty. Phangrei joins the Shirui Peak which is renowned for the Shirui Lilies. Rich flora and fruits abound the hill range. The icing on the cake can only be a breathtaking waterfall that cascades down the hill range making every nature lover’s dream come true.

INTEGRATED TOURIST DESTINATION TUPUL

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Integrated Tourist Destination in January 2018 at Tupul, Noney district. This is being developed with the objective of promoting the district of Noney as one of the niche off-beat destinations in the state. The destination is located near the ongoing highest railway bridge project.

NINGSHING KHUN

Situated at Jiribam District of Manipur the Ningshing Khun village has a biodiversity park which is a tourist spot and a memorial complex to honour the legendary heroes Bir Tikendrajit, General Thangal and Paona Brajabashi.

KEIBUL LAMJAO NATIONAL PARK

The only floating National park in the world. Described as a birder’s paradise, this floating National Park is a one of a kind visual treat not to be missed. An entire ecosystem in itself with diverse flora and fauna, this park is home to the endangered brow-antlered deer, Sangai.
