Things to do in Manipur

Manipur is strategically located in the North-eastern corner of India bordering Myanmar. Shirui Hills

A scenic hilltop panorama covered with stretches of vibrant wildflowers and the rare state flower, the Shirui Lily.

Dzuko Valley

The Dzuko valley is a famous spot for adventure lovers and trekkers. Well known for its jaw-dropping landscapes and flora, the valley is among the best treks in Manipur.

Sadu Chiru Waterfall

A picturesque waterfall falling from a height of 300 meters (approx). The path to Sadu Chiru waterfalls is across fields, streams, forests and ultimately a climb up stone steps for a spectacular view of the lush green valley. .

Kangla

A symbol of Manipur’s glory, a must-see for history buffs and art lovers. Kangla is the most important historical and archaeological site in Manipur.

Ina Memorial

This memorialhonours the noble sacrifices made by Indian soldiers under the leadership of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

Ema Market, Imphal

A symbol of feminine power- the only “all women” market in this world. This exclusive womens’ market is more than 500 years old and is run by over 3000 “Emas” (mothers). Men are not allowed to sell goods here. The best shopping destination in Manipur- very inspiring and interesting place with local and exquisite goods.

Moreh

A busy town right on the Indo-Myanmar border, it serves as a gateway to Southeast India. A huge commercial hub which is known as a shopper’s paradise. Visit Moreh to witness the confluence of varied cultures and traditions. This is the only exit from East India!

Loktak Lake
