Minor Hotels has signed an agreement with Sobha Al Siniya FZC, a joint venture between Sobha Realty and Umm Al Quwain Properties, to develop Anantara Siniya Island Resort and Anantara Residences Sobha Siniya Island.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, highlighting the project's importance to the emirate's tourism and economic development.
Development Details
- Scheduled to open in 2030, the project will feature 125 hotel keys under Anantara Siniya Island Resort.
- The development will also include 125 branded residences under the name Anantara Residences Sobha Siniya Island.
- The resort will serve as the flagship hospitality offering within the larger Sobha Siniya Island waterfront master-planned development.
Location
- The project is located in Umm Al Quwain, neighbouring Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah.
- The island destination is approximately 50 minutes from Dubai.
- Sobha Siniya Island is connected to the mainland by a 1.7-kilometre bridge, offering convenient access while maintaining an exclusive island environment.
Ownership and Partnership
- The project is owned by Sobha Al Siniya FZC, a joint venture between Sobha Realty and Umm Al Quwain Properties.
- Umm Al Quwain Properties is the real estate investment arm of the Government of Umm Al Quwain.
- The partnership combines Sobha Realty's expertise in premium master-planned developments with the government's long-term vision for tourism, residential growth, and economic expansion.
