Bengaluru Leads the Way
- Accounts for 30%+ of all pet journeys on Akasa’s network.
- Over 3,700 pet journeys since launch.
- Pet travel grew 53% from FY24 (856 journeys) to FY26 (1,310 journeys).
- 5 of the top 10 frequent pet parents are from Bengaluru.
- Popular routes: Bengaluru–Delhi, Bengaluru–Kolkata, Bengaluru–Guwahati, contributing to 55% of pet flights from the city.
Expanding Reach
- Pet parents now travel with pets across 16 destinations, up from 10 at launch.
- Growth beyond metros: Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Lucknow, Kochi, Varanasi, Darbhanga, Calicut.
Pets on Akasa Program
- Over 13,500 pets flown across the network since Nov 2022.
- Enhancements include:
- Up to 3 pets per flight.
- 10 kg in-cabin weight limit (including carrier).
- Simplified booking and flexible health certification.
- Complimentary perks: window seat, priority check-in & boarding.
- Staff trained extensively for pet care and safety.
- Partnership with Umeed for Animals Foundation to adopt best practices.
